Karachi: PPP has rejected the proposal for change in NFC formula. PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said in press briefing CEC has approved the proposals for amendment in article 243.Talking about the establishment of constitutional court, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the opinion on the constitutional court is this that all provinces should have equal representation. In this regard meeting of CEC will take place today after Jumma prayers. Final decision will be taken about constitutional court therein.PPP Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting was held in connection with 27th constitutional amendment . President Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari attended the meeting.;Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and other PPP leadership attended the meeting.The members were taken into confidence on the points of proposed 27th constitutional amendment.Bilawal Bhutto Zardari informed the CEC about all the matters in details.According to sources CEC members mostly talked about National Financial Commission (NFC) award.The party leadership informed the participants about government proposals and their own opinion with reference to financial shares of the provinces.PPP remained firm on its old stance regarding provincial autonomy.Most of the members did not oppose the proposal for returning department of population welfare to the federation.The CEC members gave their opinion in support of proposed draft. Party leadership will talk to stake holders on some disputed matters.CEC decided to contact with other parliamentary parties. Dialogue will be held with likeminded parties on proposed constitutional amendment.There is harmony between PPP and PML-N on federal constitutional court. The opinions of legal experts of PPP are already included in the proposed draft.PPP political committee too has reviewed proposed draft of 27th constitutional amendment.The members were informed that positive talks were held with PML-N and all stake holders on several clauses of the draft. There are clauses abo ut election commission in the draft of amendments. The hindrance in the selection of chief election commissioner and members of election commission should be removed.
