Pr Trump has directed American companies for immediate investment in Pakistan: PM

New jersey: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has said President Trump has directed Americans companies for immediate investment in Pakistan.

Talking to media men in New Jersey PM said US has shown willingness for investment in IT, Energy, agriculture and mineral sectors in Pakistan while President Trump has directed American companies for making immediate investment in Pakistan.

PM said his meeting with president Trump remained very conducive for betterment in bilateral ties between Pakistan and US.

President Trump wants peace and his role has remained laudable in forging ceasefire between Pakistan and India in the past.

A new dimension is being given in trade and economic ties between Pakistan and US. The two countries have held talks on equitable determination of price of mineral resources and trade agreements based on mutual interests.

Pakistan economy is heading towards betterment gradually. Inflation came to single digit during one and half year. Improvement is being witnessed in relations with Bangladesh persistently and positive movement forward is going on at the both trade and diplomatic level.

Praising Field Marshal Asim Munir PM said Pakistan Army defeated India under strategy under his leadership.

He added that Field Marshal Asim Munir wisely led the Pakistan Army during the war.

The prime minister also mentioned his visit to Saudi Arabia, where he said he was given a grand reception. 'In the past 40 years, I have never seen such a reception,' he remarked.

He said that the country was facing challenges a few years ago. 'When I took office, there were economic challenges, inflation was at 32%, but now it has come down to single digits within a year and a half. At that time, the policy rate was 22.5%, but now it is down to 11%.'
