Islamabad: Preparations for Local Bodies (L B) polls have entered into final phase in Punjab. Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has called Punjab government for fixing date of LB Polls.

According to media report the important decision with reference to LB Polls date in Punjab will be made in the meeting scheduled for August 20. All the arrangements including delimitation of constituencies have been completed in Punjab.

The formal schedule for election process is likely to come to open after following the fixation of date.

The meeting between Election commission and Punjab government with reference to LB polls is being termed as important movement forward .
