Swat: Central President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, paid a special visit to various flood-affected areas of Swat, where he met with the affected families, listened to their problems, and closely reviewed the relief activities being carried out by Alkhidmat volunteers.On this occasion, Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that the recent floods in Swat have caused massive destruction-hundreds of homes have been damaged, farmlands wiped out, roads and pathways destroyed, and thousands of families are facing extremely difficult circumstances. He added that in this hour of hardship, Alkhidmat stands firmly with the affected people and is extending every possible support.He informed that at present, hundreds of Alkhidmat volunteers are active in different parts of Swat, providing clean drinking water, distributing food supplies and basic necessities among the victims, restoring roads and pathways through heavy machinery and vehicles, relocating the affected to temporary shelters, offering medical facilities, and setting up special camps for women and children. Dr. Hafeezur Rehman expressed regret that despite such a major humanitarian crisis, government representatives are nowhere to be seen on the ground.He stressed that the government should also stand with the victims and accelerate rehabilitation efforts. He made a strong appeal to philanthropists and well-wishers to come forward generously to help the flood victims, emphasizing that it is our religious, moral, and human duty not to leave our brothers and sisters alone in this time of trial.In conclusion, he reaffirmed that Alkhidmat Foundation, in line with its tradition, will remain with the victims until their complete rehabilitation. On this occasion, the President of Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North and other local officials also stated that Alkhidmat has always stood by the people in difficult times, and this support will continue until the full rehabilitation of the victims.
