Kasur: President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman visited five villages, including Ganda Singh Wala, affected by the flooding of the Sutlej River, and provided food packages and clean water to another 100 affected families. On this occasion, Regional President Ikramul Haq Subhani, Alkhidmat CEO Khubaib Bilal, and Senior Manager Media Relations Shoaib Hashmi were also present.When Dr. Hafeezur Rehman arrived at the Alkhidmat operational camp set up at Talwar Chowk in Ganda Singh Wala, Ikram ul Haq Subhani briefed him about the relief activities, informing him that through this camp, people trapped in flood-hit villages are being rescued by four boats and shifted to safe places. Alkhidmat volunteers are equipped with life jackets and all essential safety and relief equipment, he said.Through these boats, families stranded in villages across the floodwaters are also being supplied with cooked meals from Alkhidmat's mobile kitchen, clean drinking water, fodder for animals, and oth er relief items, he said. For the injured and other medical needs, Alkhidmat's Mobile Health Unit is continuously serving the victims, with both male and female doctors available. More than 2,100 patients have so far received medical relief, he added.He further informed that during the 14 days of ongoing relief efforts, hundreds of people have been rescued. Due to the flooding, rice and sesame crops in these villages have been destroyed, homes have been submerged, and livestock have been swept away. In such a situation, Alkhidmat is persistently carrying out relief operations and has also set up a veterinary camp for animals. Clean water is being supplied to the affected areas through Alkhidmat's Mobile Water Filtration Plant, he added.Dr. Hafeezur Rehman expressed satisfaction over the ongoing relief activities, appreciated the dedication of officials and volunteers, and paid them tribute. He said that Alkhidmat will utilize all available resources for the relief of the affected people.
