President Zardari, PM Shehbaz, Armed Forces of Pakistan renew pledge to follow in the footsteps of Quaid-e-Azam

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have renewed the pledge to follow in the footsteps of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for the progress and prosperity of the nation.

In their messages on the occasion of birth anniversary of 'Father of the Nation' Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, they said this day is reminder of the conviction and hard work that shaped Pakistan.

The President and Prime Minister said Quaid stood for democracy, justice and equality and these values remain central to our national journey and essential for our progress and maintaining social cohesion and confidence.

They urged all Pakistanis, particularly the youth, to hold firm to Quaid's ideals and contribute to building a peaceful, inclusive and forward-looking Pakistan.

PM Shehbaz Sharif in his message issued on X on Thursday said 'On the 149th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, I join the nation in paying heartfelt tribute to the Founder of our nation. This day offers an opportunity for collective reflection and renewal of our commitment to the Quaid's guiding principles - democracy, constitutionalism, social justice, religious harmony, and the vision of a welfare state grounded in equality and the rule of law'.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said that Quaid-e-Azam's enduring ideals of Faith, Unity, and Discipline remain the foundation of our national strength and a guiding light for future generations.

He said that a visionary leader and a statesman of global stature, Quaid-e-Azam's political wisdom, unwavering resolve, and selfless struggle altered the course of history and made possible the creation of an independent homeland for the Muslims of the Subcontinent.

'Today, we reaffirm our collective resolve to follow in the footsteps of Quaid-e-Azam and to carry forward his enduring legacy, in the service of Pakistan's honour, security, progress, and prosperity' he said.

Meanwhile on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Founder of Pakistan, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, COAS and CDF; Admiral Naveed Ashraf, NI, NI (M), T Bt, Chief of the Naval Staff; and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Air Staff, on behalf of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, have paid rich tribute to the Father of the Nation.

According to the statement issued by the ISPR, the Armed Forces reaffirm their unwavering commitment to Quaid-e-Azam's vision of a strong, sovereign, democratic, and prosperous Pakistan, founded on the principles of faith, unity and discipline. They emphasized that Quaid-e-Azam's exemplary leadership, constitutionalism, and steadfast resolve continue to guide the nation and its Armed Forces in confronting contemporary challenges.

The Armed Forces of Pakistan reiterate their resolve to safeguard the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity and to contribute wholeheartedly towards national stability, peace, and development, in line with the ideals and aspirations of Quaid-e-Azam.

On this day, the Armed Forces also extend heartfelt Christmas greetings to the Christian community of Pakistan, acknowledging their valuable contributions to the nation's progress and reaffirming the commitment to Quaid-e-Azam's vision of equal rights, religious freedom and harmony for all citizens.

Pakistan Armed Forces remain steadfast in their commitment to uphold the legacy of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and to serve the nation with honour, courage and devotion.
