Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have felicitated the Christian community in Pakistan and the world over on joyous occasion of Easter.

In his message, President Asif Ali Zardari said this day symbolizes compassion, hope, renewal, rebirth and the triumph of good over evil. Praising the role of Christian community across Pakistan, he said their contributions are integral to our society and deserve recognition and respect.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in his message on X, said Easter carries a universal message of love and renewed hope for all humanity. He said this day embodies the values of sacrifice and forgiveness, as well as peace, tolerance, brotherhood, and goodwill, promoting social cohesion and interfaith harmony.
