London: Pakistan TV channel has apologized to Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz in the UK court on the matter of watch in connection with Toshakhana allegations.

Maryam Nawaz had filed defamation case in UK High Court against a private TV channel running in the name of Glaxi Broadcasting Network UK.

This case was filed with reference to program wherein allegation was leveled that Maryam Nawaz had purchased watch from Toshakhana through alleged corruption in connivance with bureaucrats.

Through the talk-show telecast on November 17, 2022 on the private TV channel it was alleged Maryam Nawaz in connivance with bureaucrats obtained a watch from Toshakhana through corruption.

The original value of watch was Rs 10 lac but it was purchased at the cost of Rs 45000 only.

The counsels of Maryam Nawaz had filed this case in UK high court.

Maryam Nawaz was represented by Barrister David Lemer, along with Sadia Qureshi and Ishrat Sultana from Stone White Solicitors.

The private TV channel extended apology to Maryam Nawaz on the matter of watch.

It has been said in the video statement from private TV channel that we regret over the agony and harm caused to Maryam Nawaz due to allegation leveled against her on the basis of wrong information unintentionally.
