Peshawar: Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa South Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Khan while welcoming the Pakistan-Afghanistan-Uzbekistan Railway Project has said that this project should have immediately been started after the departure of Russia from Afghanistan. He said that it is matter of regret that our rulers in greed of dollars and for protection of American interests put behind the Pak-Afghan interests.In a statement issued on Saturday from his office, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Khan said that for protection of American interests the region was thrown to the wars and unrest, adding that due to this, the region remained deprived from peace and progress. He said that during the era of General Parvez Musharraf, the American attack on Afghanistan pushed the region many centuries back in development and progress.Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Khan hoped that the fate of Pakistan-Afghanistan-Uzbekistan Railway Project will not be like Pak-Iran Gas Pipeline Project. He said though the approval of railway project is delayed but it is welcoming, adding that if the work is done sincerely, three countries could be strengthened from every aspect. Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Khan expressed concerns that this project should not fall to the conspiracies like the Pakistan-Iran Gas Pipeline Project, which could not be completed till today.
