Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad to talk to protesters in Islamabad and get end their protest. The petition seeking court orders for ending protest of families of Baloch missing persons outside National Press Club came up for hearing before IHC Monday.
The petition was filed by F-6 petrol pump administration.
Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Sarfraz Dogar heard the petition.
The court directed administration to take serious steps. What you have done is insufficient. You have to protect the property of other respondent. File the report after two weeks on next hearing in the court without failure.
CJ IHC remarked DC Sahb should talk to the protesters and tell them they cannot sit here. Why the passage has been blocked. It is their business.
Advocate General (AG) Islamabad Ayyaz Shaukat said Baloch Youth council is protesting.
CJ IHC Sarfraz Dogar inquired has permission for staging protest been given.
AG Islamabad said no permission is given. We disperse the protesters and they come again.
CJ IHC inquired where is administration. It is doing what.
CJ IHC remarked under what law you are blocking the property of other respondent.
DC Islamabad said we can provide alternate place for protest.
The CJ IHC remarked DC Sahb talk to them that they cannot sit here. File the report after two weeks on next hearing.
The CJ IHC while moving to DC Islamabad said we have asked for 15 days. It does not mean you should return after 15 days.
DC Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon said no sir we will do it immediately.
The counsel for the petitioner said our business stands stalled. Direction be given for prompt action.
The CJ IHC said direction has been given. It is not so that morsel be given in your mouth.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case for two weeks.
