Provocative statement by Indian defence minister about Sindh is highly condemnable. This is alarm against upholding international laws. Water data has not been shared under Indus Basin Treaty (IBT). Saudi Arabia has offered no mediation to resolve Pak-Afghan tension. However concrete offer from any country on this count will be welcomed.
This was said by Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andarabi in weekly press briefing here Friday.

Pointing to recent statements by India he said the provocative statement by Indian defence minister about Sindh is highly condemnable.. Sindh was the first province which cast vote in support of Pakistan.
He added India has not shared water data under Indus Basin Treaty. Non pursuing set procedure of data sharing is lamentable. Indian tendencies point to use of water as weapon. On the other hand Pakistan is making follow up of the matter of Indus Basin Treaty.
He observed statement of National Assembly (NA) with reference to UAE can be based on data. UAE has enacted no new legislation.
He said Daesh is present in Afghanistan and is flourishing therein.
Dismissing Afghan government allegations about presence of Daesh in Pakistan he said this is baseless and false propaganda which runs contrary to facts.
He welcomed statement of Ali Larijani about blank cheque. Consultation is underway between Pakistan and Iran on Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline.
Pakistan and Iran together will find out solution of gas pipeline project.
No new restriction has been imposed by UAE on visas.
Pakistani ambassador in UAE Shafqat Ali Khan too has refuted ban on visas. Briefing has been given to standing committee perhaps on the basis of old record.
