Islamabad: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has blocked websites spreading blasphemous and porn material.According to PTA spokesperson PTA is taking different steps to block blasphemous and immoral material. PTA has blocked 100183 blasphemous URL and 844008 obscene websites so far.PTA is launching stern action against the websites spreading blasphemous and immoral material. PTA is too blocking such websites about which information is received from citizens and government organizations.It is noted with sorrow attempts are made to seek access to 20 million obscene websites daily from across the country which are blocked on international gateway.People use VPNs to seek access to these blocked websites on international gateway.Ministry of religious affairs has written a letter to PTA whereby request was made to remove porn and blasphemous material from social media.
