Islamabad:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has said that the imposition of emergency and governor's rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be challenged in the courts.
Speaking to journalists at Parliament House, Raja said it was their right to challenge the move in court and that they would approach the court within one day. He said hundreds of their workers had so far been arrested in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Raja said all matters between Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had been settled, and that the prime minister had also said the cabinet meeting would be advanced. During the meeting, the government called Maulana Fazlur Rehman and told him, 'We are doing this.' Raja said all democrats would now have to think about the matter, adding that there had never been complete agreement with the government on all issues and that the government had changed the agenda for talks.
