Islamabad: PTI founder and Bushra Bibi have filed petitions in Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking suspension of conviction in 190 million pounds case.

The petitions have been filed by Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi through barrister Suleman Safdar.

The petitions said NAB misused its powers with malafide intent. The punishment was announced in haste on basis of incomplete investigation. Non obtaining context of agreement from National Crime Agency makes clear the hesitation of investigation agency.

The petitions further said that NCA authorities were not included in the investigation. Prosecution failed in presenting complete evidence.

The petitioners requested the court to suspend conviction announced on January 17 and release them on bail. The decision and conviction be suspended till the final decision of central appeal.

It was further said in the petitions they assure the court they will remain present in every hearing of appeal after the suspension of conviction.
