Islamabad: Review petition filed by PTI founder in Rs 10 billion defamation case has been fixed for hearing in Supreme Court (SC).

As per media reports, review petition filed by Imran Khan against terminating his right to defence in Rs 10 billion defamation case filed by Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif against PTI founder has been fixed for hearing in SC.

A 3-member SC bench presided over by Justice Ayesha Malik will hear the petition on March 6.

Justice Hashim Kakar and justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim will be part of this bench.

The court while halting trial on previous hearing had issued notice to PM Shehbaz Sharif through counsel.

It is pertinent to mention here Lahore High Court and SC had upheld the decision of closing right to defence.

Upon it PTI founder has filed review petition against terminating his right to defence.
