PTI lawyers decide to move IHC against sentences to party senior leadership

Islamabad: PTI lawyers have decided to resort to Islamabad High Court (IHC) against issuance of arrest warrants of senior leadership of party.

Petition has been worked out in this regard.

The petition is likely to be filed by Shoaib Shaheen and other lawyers in next 48 hours.

The orders of district court have been challenged through the petition. Islamabad police and administration have also been made respondents.

Arrest warrants of Asad Qaisar, Hammad Azhar, Atif Khan, Shoaib Shaheen, Azam Khan Swati, Omar Ayub, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Aleema Khanum, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Kanwal Shauzab, Shandana Gulzar and Sher Afzal Marwat.

The court issued arrest warrants of 41 PTI leaders on Thursday after hearing of the case registered in police station Karachi company in connection with November 26 protest.
