Islamabad: PTI chairman Barrister Gohar and other leaders including Suleman Akram Raja and Latif Khosa have presented a memorandum to Supreme Court (SC) registrar about health condition of PTI founder Imran Khan and for not arranging meeting with him.
The memorandum carry signatures of all the parliamentarians of the PTI.
Opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Mehmood Khan Achakzai has also written a letter to Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif.
Talking to media men outside SC chairman PTI barrister Gohar said health of PTI founder is concern for the entire country and this matter should be taken seriously.
“We have presented memorandum to registrar. The meeting of lawyers and family members has not been arranged with PTI founder.
I have met chief justice Islamabad High Court (IHC) for 16th time so far and my appearance in SC is 10th time now. Despite it the cases are not being fixed. Matter was decided on January 17 but the case has not been fixed for hearing till now.
As per jail manual rules it is compulsory to inform family members and physician about the health condition of the prisoner regularly. But they lied on the matter of treatment of PTI founder.
,Earlier it was said the treatment was not given and now treatment has been admitted but documentary proof has not been provided.
He made it clear PTI has not boycotted constitutional court but they have grave reservations on 26th and 27th constitutional amendment. Justice should be provided at door step.
Request has been made to chief justice for access to PTI founder.
Suleman Akram Raja said we want meeting of Imran Khan be arranged with his family doctor.
We have given call for wheel jam strike on February 8. We have come today too for upholding constitution and law.
Latif Khosa said we are answerable to people. One who has won 180 seats is in jail.
