PTI Nov 26 protest case: Cross examination all prosecution witnesses completed

Rawalpindi: Following the completion of cross questioning of all prosecution witnesses in PTI November 26 protest case registered in police station Sadiq Abad, Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has adjourned hearing till June 8.

The prime accused Aleema Khanum, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan and 10 other accused were present in the court during the hearing of the case on Monday.

Faisal Malik from the side of accused and senior prosecutor Zahir Shah appeared in the court.

The counsel for accused Aleema Khan completed the cross questioning of last witness of the prosecution inspector Khalil. This way proceedings of cross examination of 18 prosecution witnesses has been completed.

The counsel for Aleema Khan requested the court for further cross questioning of two prosecution witnesses who have recorded their statements.

The counsel for Aleema Khan requested the court to allow him for further cross questioning prosecution witness director monitoring PEMRA Nadir Khan and investigation officer Raja Iftikhar.

The prosecution while raising objection took the plea the court has already given decision to the extent of the two witnesses regarding whom the defence counsel is requesting for cross questioning today.

The court directed defence counsel to give written application in regard to cross questioning of two witnesses. Then court will review it.

The counsel filed written application upon it.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till June 8.
