Public transport companies agree to curtail fare by 4 percent

Lahore: Public transport companies have agreed to curtail fare by 4 percent due to reduction in the price of petrol.

A meeting was held under secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) in transport house. The representatives of all private transport companies and transporters unions attended the meeting.

Transporters agreed on reducing the fare by 4 percent.

Secretary RTA Rana Mohsin said the fare will be reduced by 4 percent forthwith. It will be binding on all transporters to display new fare list with 4 percent reduction with immediate effect.

The buses and their terminals will be sealed of those who fail in curtailing the fare.
