Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to register non registered restaurants and marriage halls.
The approval to decision for registration of restaurants and marriage halls was given in a special meeting held under Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif here.
Directives have been issued for taking steps to register small and large restaurants and marriage halls in all over Punjab.
CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz rejected all the proposals for increasing tax.
Maryam Nawaz said that tax net be increased, not the tax. It will not be allowed to place unjust burden on people by enhancing tax.
It will not be allowed that those who got them registered should be punished and those who evade tax should continue to enjoy benefit.
We don't want to shift financial burden on common man. The person who receives two lac salary pays tax and one who earns crores of rupees does not pay tax.
Punjab Revenue Authority, Mines and Mineral and other departments should explore new opportunities in connection with revenue.
