Lahore: Punjab government has decided to regularize illegal housing societies in the province.
A high level special meeting related to housing sector was held here under Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz. The meeting deliberated over the mechanism for regularization of illegal housing societies, regulation and digitalization.
CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz while ordering to abolish unnecessary NOC required for registration of housing society said the process for public facility be made easy and effective.
It was agreed in the meeting to constitute high level committee for regularization of housing societies.
CM Punjab said problem of such schemes be sorted out as soon as possible to provide relief to people.
It was decided in the meeting housing sector will be fully digitalized in Punjab for the first time and housing society management system will be introduced. Under this system all the phases of approval , management and transfer of society will be completed online.
Under new system the process of development and management of housing societies will be made fool proof.
It was also decided to make secure the process of purchasing and selling the plots by people.
CM Punjab said that it is injustice not to give plots to the poor persons after receiving money from them. Certain government departments are equally responsible in the establishment of illegal societies.
