Lahore: Punjab government has decided to introduce Electric Bike ( E-Bike) Rental Service in Lahore for the first time for promotion of environment friendly atmosphere and state of the art travelling facilities.

In the first phase of the project 10000 E-Bikes will be included while 300 docking and charging stations will be set up in the city.

Punjab Housing Authority (PHA) will provide land for docking and charging stations.

The citizens will be able to seek easy access to public transport points close to important urban and commercial areas.

According to authorities a dip is expected in remission of thousands tones carbon in Lahore due to this project. This will help overcome air pollution and smog.

LEE Park, transport department, safe city and other institutions will be part of the project. Low cast modern traveling facility will become available for students, employees and citizens.

The citizens will be able to seek E-Bike service through mobile App.
