Punjab govt grants funds to bar associations for infrastructure and lawyer support

Lahore: According to the Directorate General Public Relations, Government of the Punjab, On the invitation of Provincial Minister for Law, Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth, the Presidents and General Secretaries of the Khushab, Qaidabad, Noor Pur Thal, and Nowshera Bar Associations visited Lahore and met with the Provincial Law Minister. The President of Khushab Bar, Malik Akhtar Abbas, President of Noor Pur Bar, Malik Agha Hussain Advocate, President of Qaidabad Bar, Peer Mahsood Gillani Advocate, and President of Nowshera Bar, Secretary Law, Punjab, Asif Bilal Lodhi, was present on this occasion.

On behalf of the Punjab Government, grants of Rs. 50 lakhs were awarded to the Khushab Bar Association, Rs. 25 lakhs to Noor Pur Thal Bar, and Rs. 25 lakhs to Qaidabad Bar. These grants will be used to build female bar rooms, establish an e-library, set up executive rooms, purchase books, computers, and furniture. Provincial Minister for Law, Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth, stated that for the first time in Punjab's history, the Chief Minister is working on a large scale to resolve lawyers issues. He said I am the representative of lawyers across Punjab. We are a team, and we have finalized a training program for young lawyers. We are solving lawyers' issues systematically.

The Provincial Minister further mentioned that the Punjab government is establishing daycare centers for female lawyers in bars across the province. We will resolve lawyers' problems on a permanent basis. The Chief Minister of Punjab is committed to resolving lawyers' issues on a priority basis. Roads are being laid across Punjab, and corruption is being eradicated, he added.

The bar presidents appreciated the government's efforts to resolve the immediate issues of lawyers across Punjab.
