Lahore: Punjab police have declared all the allegations of fake police encounter against CCD false and baseless.

It was claimed in the report filed in LHC dacoity, robbery, murder related cases have declined remarkably after the establishment of CCD.

The written report was filed on the order of LHC on petition regarding fake police encounters of CCD.

It was said in the report a remarkable fall was registered in the cases of thefts, robbery and dacoity following the formation of CCD.

Due to CCD operations, over 64 percent decrease was witnessed in property related crimes, 60 percent in robberies and murder cases during 7 months.

As many as 792 cases of dacoity were reported in 2024 and 324 incidents of dacoity were reported in 2025.

It has been claimed in the report percentage of dacoity cases declined by 69 percent while robbery incidents were reduced from 41000 to 18608. This way 62 percent decline was registered.

64 percent fall was registered in the incidents of vehicles snatching and 60 percent decrease was noticed in car stealing incidents.

it has been further said in the report presented in the court the motorcycle snatching incidents were reduced from 9754 to 4628 and this way 53 percent decline was registered.

Dacoity and murder cases were reduced from 170 to 96 and this way 60 percent decline was noticed.

During CCD operations one inspector was martyred and 96 police men were injured.

The report further disclosed that CCD arrested absconding and head money accused of category A. Several gangs were exposed and arrests were made. Gangs were located.

The written report said the allegations against CCD are based on social media speculations and they have nothing to do with the facts. CCD conducts operations against all criminals indiscriminately.

Prosecution is ensured as per transparent investigation and legal norms.

It was said in the report that strong accountability system and disciplinary system are in place in Punjab Police . Stern legal and departments proceedings is initiated after complete inquiry on violation by any officer.
