Lahore: Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry has presided over an important meeting regarding upcoming National Games at National Hockey Stadium on Friday.

Director Sports Rana Nadeem Anjum, Chief Sports Consultant M Hafeez Bhatti and other officials attended the meeting. Several important decisions were made regarding the preparations of 35th National Games Karachi at the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry said that the regular preparations of National Games will be launched after the proper announcement of mega event. 'The training camps of Punjab athletes for the preparation of National Games will be conducted under the supervision of qualified coaches,' he added.

Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry said that Punjab has been blessed with exceptional sports talent in all game disciplines. 'The Punjab contingent for the National Games will be selected purely on merit after a thorough trials' process. There will be no compromise on merit in the selection process of Punjab athletes,' he explained.
