Hyderabad: Chairperson of Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, visited the payment center at the Tehsil Office Qasimabad Shah Bukhari in Hyderabad on Monday, where the distribution of Benazir Taleemi Wazaif stipends was underway. Zulfiqar Ali Sheikh, Director General of BISP, was also present during the visit. Mayor of Hyderabad, Kashif Ali Shoro, and Zonal Director BISP Hyderabad, Faiz Ali Awan, warmly welcomed Senator Rubina Khalid.

During her visit, Senator Khalid inspected the registration process for deserving women at the Tehsil office and instructed the staff to treat all women coming for the survey with respect and to ensure they have access to all necessary facilities for their convenience.

Senator Rubina Khalid interacted with the deserving women present at the payment center, listened to their concerns, and issued instructions to the concerned officers for immediate resolution of the problems.

While talking to the media, Senator Rubina Khalid stated that the quarterly stipend amount under Benazir Kafalat has been increased from Rs. 10,500 to Rs. 13,500. She emphasized that any deductions from the deserving women's funds or involvement of agents will not be tolerated under any circumstances. She added that this is a program initiated by Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, and no malpractice will be allowed.

Senator Rubina Khalid addressed the deserving women, stating that the money they receive is their right and urged them to fight for their rights. She encouraged them to immediately report any complaints regarding deductions. "The purpose of my visit is to personally monitor this program of Bibi Shaheed," she said. "This program is internationally recognized, and it will continue without interruption."

Chairperson Rubina Khalid mentioned that the number of women benefiting from this program will soon reach 10 million. "Our mission is to ensure that women receive their due benefits with respect, dignity, and transparency," she said. She also highlighted the launch of the Benazir Hunarmand Program, aimed at making women skilled and self-sufficient, enabling more deserving women to benefit from the program's opportunities.

Additionally, Senator Khalid noted that to address issues of deductions, a pilot project is being launched through which women's payments will be transferred directly to their bank accounts.

Later, Senator Rubina Khalid visited the Benazir Nashonuma Center in Latifabad, where she interacted with women about the program and reviewed the existing facilities. The Benazir Nashonuma program provides nutritious sachets and financial assistance to meet the nutritional needs of mothers and children.
