Bolton: Renowned community leader and human rights campaigner Raja Najabat Hussain, Founding Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Tehreek-e-Haq-e-Khud Iradiyat International (Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International), was honoured with the Kashmir Award during the prestigious Excellency Awards ceremony held in Bolton.

The award was jointly presented by Pakistan's Consul General in Manchester, Tariq Wazir Khan, and Dr. Liaqat Malik, Chairman of Easy Money and DM Digital Plus, in recognition of Raja Najabat Hussain's tireless and unwavering advocacy for the right to self-determination for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The ceremony was attended by a host of distinguished guests, including Nabeela Ayub Advocate MLA, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir; Samina Khan; Neena Rania Khan; Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Mohammed Shafiq; and community activist Harry Boota, among others.

For over four decades, Raja Najabat Hussain has been at the forefront of mobilising international support for the Kashmir cause, organising awareness campaigns, and lobbying British and European parliamentarians to highlight ongoing human rights violations in Indian-administered Kashmir. Through his organisation, he has successfully engaged with diaspora communities and built political momentum for the recognition of the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination.

His consistent efforts to internationalise the Kashmir issue and build cross-party alliances in the UK Parliament have earned him widespread respect. In acknowledgment of his lifelong commitment and extraordinary public service, he was previously awarded the 'Sitara-e-Pakistan' (Star of Pakistan)-one of Pakistan's highest civilian honours.

During the Bolton ceremony, speakers paid glowing tributes to Raja Najabat Hussain's dedication, vision, and enduring leadership, with particular appreciation for his commitment to justice, peace, and human rights.
