Rangers foil terrorist attack on Camp in Karachi, killing three terrorists, President Zardari, PM Shehbaz promise security forces

Rawalpindi: Pakistan Rangers Sindh foiled a cowardly terrorist attack on Rangers Camp in Karachi last night killing three terrorists belonging to Indian proxy, Jamaat ul Ahrar.

The assailants, after a blast at main gate of the Camp, attempted to breach the perimeter security. However, the vigilant and resolute response of Rangers troops resulted in eliminating three terrorists and capturing one terrorists in injured condition, who is an Afghan national.

During fire exchange, three brave sons of soil, rendered the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat in the line of duty, while four soldiers are injured.

Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorists in the area.

The relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision "Azm e Istehkam" by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.

Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has expressed his deepest condolences with the families of the brave soldiers. He said these sacrifices further reinforce our unwavering commitment to safeguarding our nation at all costs.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have praised Pakistan's security forces for successfully foiling the cowardly terrorist attack on a Pakistan Rangers Sindh camp in Karachi.

In their separate statements, the President and the Prime Minister strongly condemned the attack that was carried out by the Indian proxy group Jamaat-ul-Ahrar and described the response of rangers as a demonstration of professionalism, courage, and dedication to duty.

They also paid tribute to the three Rangers personnel who embraced martyrdom in the attack and said their sacrifices will always be remembered. They expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the attack.

The President stressed that terrorist elements operating with external backing will never succeed in achieving their malicious objectives.

The Prime Minister said that people of Pakistan stand firmly with the armed forces, Rangers, and all law enforcement agencies. He said that the fight against terrorism will continue with unwavering determination until its complete eradication.
