Reaching it record level by remittances is reflection of trust of overseas Pakistanis on govt policies: PM

Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said hitting its record level by remittances is reflection of their confidence on government policies by overseas Pakistanis.

Pakistan received record remittances of 4.1 billion dollars last month, which are the highest ever in a month.

PM has expressed his gratitude to overseas Pakistanis

for sending record remittances of 4.1 billion dollars in the month of March.

In the first nine months of current fiscal year, the country received 28.1 billion dollars in remittances, reflecting a thirty-three percent increase.

According to a statement released by the Prime Minister office, the Prime Minister said this is a thirty-seven point four percent (37.4 percent) increase in remittances as compared to March last year.

Referring to the Overseas Pakistanis convention in Islamabad, he said the record increase in remittances is a testament to the dedication, commitment and confidence of overseas Pakistanis in the country's economy and government's policies.

He said overseas Pakistanis is our asset. The entire nation including me is proud of our overseas Pakistanis.

Government is determined to extend all facilities to overseas Pakistanis , he remarked.
