RELIEF IN FOOD PRICES & IMPROVED QUALITY ACROSS PROVINCE

Lahore: According to the Directorate General Public Relations, Government of the Punjab, Significant relief in food prices and improvement in quality continues across Punjab. According to Special

Assistant for Price Control Punjab, Salma Butt, more than 317,000 people purchased essential items from model bazaars and facilitation stalls in past 24 hours.

In Lahore Division alone more than 142,000 people made purchases, while Gujranwala Division recorded

15,000 buyers. In Gujrat and Rawalpindi, 54,000 people visited these stalls, whereas over 19,000 customers shopped in Sargodha. Meanwhile in Multan, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, D.G. Khan and Faisalabad. Number of shoppers exceeded 107,000. Across all districts, citizens collectively purchased over 172,000 kg of fruits and vegetables, 17,450 kg of chicken, 9,380 kg of dates and more than 18,000 kg of gram flour (besan).

Salma Butt further stated that under the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz. She is

personally overseeing the arrangements in all districts. Efforts to provide relief in food prices and maintain quality standards are ongoing and no leniency will be shown towards administrative negligence.For complaints regarding model bazaars, citizens can call: 03080800222.
