ISLAMABAD:The resolution on imposition of emergency in KP has been approved with majority vote in the joint sitting of both the houses of parliament.

214 votes were cast in favor and 56 votes were cast against the resolution.

Joint sessions of parliament was held under speaker National Assembly (NA) Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq. .

The NA approved the resolution regarding declaration of emergency in KP with majority vote on Thursday.

State minister for parliamentary affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry presented the resolution of declaration of emergency in KP in the house .,

He also tabled the resolution for suspending the rules related to notice period for presenting the resolution which was approved with majority vote.

The opposition chanted slogans of No, No, No to governor rule, No to economic terrorism.
