Islamabad: Finance Ministry has approved Rs 2500 monthly allowance for government employees holding the degrees equivalent to M Phil recognized by Higher Education Commission (HEC).
The orders will be applicable from July 17, 2026. The employees will have to provide equivalence certificate from HEC in connection with this allowance.
According to finance ministry the letters for approval of M Phil and Phd allowance were issued on November 24, 2025 and July 01, 2016 respectively.
Under the decision all employees have been included in this ambit who are holding recognized degrees Equivalent to M Phil.
