Islamabad: A delegation from the Russian Federation, comprising Mr. Anton Berniakovich, Head of the Political Station, and Mr. Anton Verschagin, held an official meeting with Ms. Misbah Khar, Advisor to the Chairman Senate of Pakistan and Ambassador to the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers' Conference (ISC), accompanied by the Senior Director General (Protocol), Senate of Pakistan.

The Russian delegation confirmed participation from both Houses of the Russian Parliament in the forthcoming Inter-Parliamentary Speakers' Conference. Both sides discussed avenues for enhanced parliamentary cooperation, emphasizing inclusive global representation and strengthened multilateral dialogue under the ISC framework.

Discussions focused on reviewing and refining the logistical and organizational aspects of the conference. Detailed deliberations were held on the event's program, protocol arrangements, and security coordination. Ms. Khar briefed the delegation on the extensive preparations underway to ensure a seamless, well-coordinated conference aligned with international standards and diplomatic protocols.

The Russian delegation appreciated the initiative of the Chairman Senate of Pakistan for promoting global dialogue centered on peace, security, and sustainable development.

Ms. Misbah Khar reaffirmed that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with the Russian Federation and deeply values the longstanding diplomatic and bilateral ties between the two countries.
