Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi police have formed special teams to implement arrest warrants issued by courts in respect of PTI leaders. Police teams have started conducting raids to arrest former president Pakistan Arif Alvi, KP chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Aleema Khan and others.

Police spokesperson said Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has issued non bailable arrest warrants of PTI 65 leaders and workers in regard to November 26 protest related cases registered in police station Sadiq Abad, Wah Cantt and Nasir Abad.

The non bailable arrest warrants were issued due to abscondment of the accused to avoid arrest.

Arrest warrants of 28 accused were issued in the case registered in police station Sadiq Abad.

Arrest warrants of 18 accused were issued in the case registered in police station Wah Cantt while arrest warrants of 19 accused were issued in the Nasir Abad police station case.

The accused are Arif Alvi, Ali Amin Gandapur, Aleema Khan, Omar Ayub, Zubair Niazi, Farrukh Muhammad Sial, Hammad Azhar, Mati Ullah Shah, Kanwal Shauzaf, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Ejaz Khan Jazi, Col Ajmal Sabir, Aamir Mughal, Sardar Mansoor and Mian Aslam.

The accused will be arrested and presented in the court.
