Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has said the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan army are commendable in war on terror and army is continuing effective operations against Fitna al Khwarij.

Situation is returning to normalcy in Kurrum. All stake holders will work together for keeping peace intact.

He said this while addressing federal cabinet meeting here Tuesday.

An excellent meeting with reference to girls education was held in Islamabad a few days earlier.

Pakistan is facing big challenges in regard to education. 22.8 million children are out of schools. Most are girls among them. Participation of secretary general OIC in the conference impressed every one.

He went on to say provinces have key role for betterment in the field of education. Federation and provinces will together have to face challenges of this sector.

Shehbaz Sharif said a new crossing point has been opened on Pak-Iran border in Panjgur adding this will promote legal trade and help check smuggling.

He thanked Iranian cooperation for the opening of the new crossing point.

Talking about end to tension in Kurram he said situation in Kurram is becoming normal. Trenches are being demolished. Teams for distribution of food and medicines are being despatched.

It is hoped all stake holders will together make collective efforts to keep peace intact.

Such incidents will not recur in future, he hoped.

Terming resumption of PIA flights to Europe good omen he said it is a major achievement.

He expressed the confidence that the flights to Britain will also resume, saying this will facilitate Pakistani travellers.

Operation is continuing against Fitna al Khwarij under army chief. Jawans of Pakistan army are engaged in operations day in day out. Khwarijs in large number have been killed in different operations. 27 Khwarijs were killed during previous operation.

Providing relief to people in energy sector is our top priority. No work was done in this sector during PTI era. Due to it we are going through difficult situation. However coherent strategy is being evolved to contain challenges soon.
