Islamabad: District and Sessions Court Islamabad has awarded death sentence to Umar Hayat accused in murder case of Social Media Influencer Sana Yusuf.

Additional Sessions Judge Islamabad Afzal Majoka announced the decision of Tik toker Sana Yusuf murder case.

The convict Umar Hayat will have to pay fine amounting to Rs 20 lac.

Screen shots of calls and chat of the accused Umar Hayat were presented during hearing of the case in the court.

The counsel for plaintiff prayed the court to award death sentence to the accused two times.

The counsel for the accused has said the accused Umar Hayat had expressed mistrust on state counsel and trial court. 2 petitions are pending hearing in Islamabad High Court (IHC)

During hearing of Sana Yusuf murder case in district and sessions court Islamabad, the accused had said he had not made any confession or disclosure of murdering Sana Yusuf

According to police Sana Yusuf was murdered on June 2 , 2025,. The accused Umar Hayat was arrested after two days of murder.

Police arrested killer of Sana Yusuf from Jaranwala on June 3. The eye witnesses identified accused Umar Hayat in identification parade on June 13.

Government appointed Raja Navid Hussain Kiyani as special prosecutor.
