Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) while accepting Punjab government plea for granting more time has adjourned hearing of physical remand case in respect of PTI leader and former governor Punjab Omar Sarfraz Cheema for indefinite period.

Justice Hashim Kakar head of 3-member bench inquired this Omar Sarfarz Cheema is one who has remained governor Punjab

Counsel for PTI leader said yes Omar Sarfraz Cheema is former governor Punjab. Shoulders of Omar Sarfraz Cheema have gone freezed and he is in hospital since two months.

The physical remand case of Omar Sarfaraz Cheema came up for hearing Wednesday.

Punjab government prayed the court to give time for arguments on appeal plea.

Special prosecutor said Omar Sarfraz Cheema was armed with pistol on May 9 and recovery has to be made from him.

Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim remarked SC has ordered to give decision within four months.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case for indefinite period on Punjab government plea.
