SC adjourns hearing of SIC reserved seats case till today (Tuesday)

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has adjourned the hearing of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) reserved seats case till Tuesday besides summoning formula for allotment of reserved seats and documents from Election Commission (EC).The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa remarked one year time was given to PTI for holding intra party election but they could not hold election. The uproar of rigging rises after every election. If any thing wrong has been committed then it will be seen after the application comes.A 13-member bench of SC presided over by the CJP Qazi Faez Isa took up the case for hearing Monday.Counsel for EC said PTI could hold intra party election from January 14 to February 07.Justice Munib Akhtar remarked had election been held then it was to make what difference.Counsel Sikandar Mohmand said PTI would have got electoral symbol and become eligible to contest election.The CJP remarked PTI election matter was pending with EC since several years. Why EC is shifting matter to EC by giving the reference to January 13.Justice Mansoor Ali Shah remarked the court wants what is right of any political party should be given to it. No less or more seats should go to any party.The CJP remarked what is right. The court has to see the constitution.Justice Ayesha Malik remarked formula is in the hands of EC. It can make independent candidate to whom it wants.The court while summoning formula and documents from EC adjourned the hearing of the case till today (Tuesday).The CJP remarked the hearing will be completed till 1.30 p,m on Tuesday.
