Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) constitutional bench has dismissed petition pertaining to discrimination against Christian community upholding registrar office objections.

The court expressed resentment over attitude of lady lawyer during the hearing of the case.

Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan remarked " several people from Christian Community are on good jobs. They become CSP officers as well. Several people of Christian community are MNAs, MPAs and Senators too. Several people are sitting in the house.

Justice Jamal Mandokhail remarked we are not depriving you of your right but we are telling you a procedure.

A five members constitutional bench of SC presided over by Justice Amin Ud Din Khan took up the case for hearing Monday.

Justice Amin ud Din Khan remarked you don't know the procedure for appearing in the court. Are you advocate of this SC.

The counsel replied "I am advocate high court and petitioner in this case.

Justice Amin ud Din Khan remarked " so many senior advocates have appeared. Has any advocate raised one's voice higher .

The petitioner lawyer took the plea effort was made to remove the confusion with reference to minorities in 1965 constitution.

Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan remarked several people from Christian community are on good jobs too. They become CSP officers.

He further remarked " you say only post of sweeper is given to Christians.

The petitioner lawyer took the plea such jobs are attributed to Christians in news papers advertisement.

Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan remarked if it is so then people from Christian community should not apply for these jobs. If you have to deliver speech then we listen to the speech.
