Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) has directed police to present more evidence against PTI senator Ejaz Chaudhry arrested in May 9 cases.
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi Sardar said to Latif Khosa no doubt it is an interview but your client was inciting youths.
The bail plea of Senator Ejaz Chaudhry in connection with May 9 cases came up for hearing before SC Thursday.
A 3-member bench of SC presided over by CJP heard the bail plea.
The CJP remarked what are evidence against senator Ejaz Chaudhry.
Special prosecutor said video of Ejaz Chaudhry is there wherein he is inciting the people.
The CJP said is there any video of Ejaz Chaudhry.
Justice Shafi Siddiqui said there is one interview of May 17 and an audio of May 10.
Justice Shakil Ahmad said if the case is inciting the people then show the evidence pertaining to May 9 or before May 9.
DPS Lahore Police Dr Javed presented record against Ejaz Chaudhry.
Counsel for Ejaz Chaudhry said what evidence have been given it is a TV interview.
The CJP Yahya Afridi said no doubt it is TV interview. Your client was inciting the people.
SC directed police to provide more evidence.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till next week.
