Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) dismissed the KP government petition against promotion of lady teacher with fine amounting to Rs 100000.A 3-member bench of SC presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa heard the petition filed against the promotion of lady teacher Gulnaz Bibi Friday.Additional Advocate General (AAG) KP said during the hearing of the case the lady teacher left for Korea without approval of leave and she did Phd from Korea in the subject of Chemistry.The CJP Qazi Faez Isa remarked it seems as if you don't need educated people. You should respect such people.Justice Irfan Saadat while moving to AAG said why the punishment be given to teacher if her application is suppressed by the principal. Attaining higher education is right of every one.The court while dismissing KP government plea against the promotion of lady teacher imposed fine of Rs 100000 on provincial government.It is pertinent to mention here KP government had resorted to SC against the deci sion of tribunal with reference to promotion of lady teacher.
