Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed the petitions against constitutional amendment as withdrawn.The petition was withdrawn by Hamid Khan and Abid Zubairi.The petition against constitutional amendment came up for hearing before a 3-member bench of SC presided over by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa Thursday.Hamid Khan requested for withdrawing his petition against the proposed constitutional amendment.The counsel for the petitioner said we want to withdraw the petition.The CJP while moving to Hamid Khan remarked your services were hired as lawyer to withdraw the petition. Abid Zubairi himself could withdraw the petition. The second petition is also fixed for hearing with objections.The counsel Hamid Khan said we withdraw both the petitions.The court dismissed the petitions as withdrawn.During the hearing of the case, the CJP while moving to Abid Zubairi said another application from your side was also here. I being CJP did not fix this petition for hearing. May be this petition is fixed later.Advocate Hamid Khan said it is act of kindness by you.The SC dismissed the petitions being withdrawn.
