Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) constitutional bench has issued notice again to the petitioner for hearing the case filed against the appointment of Arif Alvi as president.The court adjourned the hearing of the case for indefinite period.Earlier constitutional bench has dismissed several petitions being in- fructuous.A 6-member constitutional bench of SC led by Justice Amin ud Din Khan heard the case Thursday.The court staff told the notice sent to the petitioner could not be served.Justice Jamal Mandokhel remarked if such petitions are dismissed with fine then there will be discouragement.The court while directing to issue notice again adjourned the hearing of the case.It is pertinent to mention here one Ghulam Murtaza Khan had filed petition in 2023 against appointment of Arif Alvi as president.
