Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) has ordered to shift PTI founder Imran Khan to Shifa international Hospital. The court ordered that Shifa hospital will constitute medical board .
The court has sought complete medical record and details of meetings with Imran Khan during the last three years. The court stopped from playing politics on PTI founder treatment. Imran Khan will remain in hospital till next hearing. The SC adjourned further hearing till September 16.
Raising objection over the order of shifting Imran Khan to hospital on behalf of government, Additional Attorney General (AAG) said no notice has been issued to government.
The court made government objection part of order remarking if there was no notice then why are you talking in the court. The court has said in its order that PTI founder be shifted to hospital today. PTI founder be shifted to hospital under stringent security arrangements. The law and order situation outside hospital should not be affected.
The court also ordered to arrange meeting of Imran Khan with his family members a day in a week. The court remarked Dr Faisal Sultan and Dr Uzma too will be along with Imran Khan. Justice Shahid Wahid said according to medical reports the neither the pulse of Imran Khan is normal nor his heart. According to report his vital organs too have started becoming affected.
He made it clear meeting with sisters is not act of kindness but it is basic right. It is not job of state to violate law. At the inception of hearing counsel Uzair Bhindari requested meeting with personal doctors of PTI founder including Dr Asim Yousuf and Dr Uzma Khan be arranged.
He held out assurance that no media talks will be held after meeting.
Justice Shahid Wahid raised the question what is problem in giving medical record. What material has been given , it is only summary. Complete record be presented in the court.
Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan said politics be not played over ailment of PTI founder. Talks should be made about his betterment. He remarked the mention of angiography is made in the report.
He inquired is it possible in jail. Advocate General Islamabad told the court it can be conducted in hospital outside. He said 48 meetings of his sisters have been arranged with PTI founder during the last three years. The court sought record of PTI founder talks with his sons and CDR. The court directed all the details be filed before next hearing.
During the hearing of the case Justice Naeem Afghan sought complete details of the cases against the PTI of founder from the counsel that in how many cases he is under trial and in how many cases he has been convicted and how many sentences have been suspended.
The court stopped Uzma Khan from talking saying counsel is present there. The further hearing of the case will take place later. Justice Shahid Wahid said Dr Asim Yusuf is Gastroenterologist . As per report PTI founder has no stomach problem. Counsel Uzair Bhindari said give permission to Dr Faisal Sultan for having meeting.
Advocate General said the assurance for not holding media talk was violated. Case is fixed in Islamabad High Court. Suleman Akram Raja said that was my assurance. What is fault of others. The court summoned Adiala jail authorities on next hearing.
Justice Shahid Wahid remarked if we initiate contempt of court proceedings against the officers then proceedings will be initiated against Suleman Akram Raja too. Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan said PTI walas should decide one thing that no politics will be played on the health of PTI founder. No politics should be played on the treatment of PTI founder.
Justice Shahid Wahid said PTI and family members will have to give affidavit that no media talk will be held after meeting.
Uzair Bhindari, counsel for Uzma Khan said why blood of PTI founder was clotted. Its reason should come to fore. What happened in 1979, we don't want it should recur.
Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan while seeking details of cases against PTI founder said Imran Khan is under trial prisoner in how many cases. Details be provided. He is convicted in how many cases. His sentence has been suspended in how many cases. Its details be provided too.
SC while seeking record of meetings with PTI founder in Jail during last three years said it should be told why Islamabad High court order was violated.
The case on not arranging meetings with PTI founder was adjourned after summer vacations
