Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) has rejected bail plea of Assistant Food Controller (AFC) Khalid Khan accused in scandal of stealing 30000 bags wheat in KP.

A two members bench of SC presided over by Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi took up the case for hearing Tuesday.

Additional Advocate General (AAG) KP took the plea the accused are facing charges of causing loss to KP treasury over Rs 19.77 crore.

The bail plea of other accused persons in the case has been rejected.

AAG KP said challan of the case has been filed. The case is pending hearing in anti corruption Nowshehra. This court rejected bail plea.
