Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) has sought summary of annual development plan from federal and provincial governments.In the case related to matter of development funds regarding federation and all the four provinces SC has sought details of block allocated schemes or umbrella schemes.The court ordered annual development plan summary of recently approved annual budget be presented with the signatures of finance secretary or chief secretary.Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa remarked during the hearing of the case we are hearing the case in the perspective for protection of public funds. Government should do spend money but with transparency. Transparency means development schemes be not launched on the basis of individuals.He gave these remarks during the hearing of the case Monday.The CJP further remarked Zia ul Haq started the tradition of giving money in the name of development funds for members of assemblies and senators.Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan remarked already there ar e enormous difficulties. We will not let the public funds waste.The CJP remarked "work out projects but all should be done under constitution. Governments are changed then the projects linger on. The development projects should not be worked out under the individual persons. We have no concern with it what projects are being framed. There should be transparency.The court adjourned the hearing of the case for three weeks.
