Security forces kill 10 terrorists, arrest 12 others in KP and Balochistan; Captain Hamza Akram embraces martyrdom: ISPR

Rawalpindi: On 7 August 2026, Security Forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Hangu District, on reported presence of terrorists belonging to Indian Proxy.

According to the statement issued by ISPR, during the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged terrorist location. In desperation, terrorists took refuge inside a mosque, blatantly disregarding the sanctity of the place of worship. In ensuing fire exchange, seven terrorists were killed.

However, during the intense fire exchange, Captain Hamza Akram (age: 27 years, resident of District Narowal), a brave officer, who was leading his troops from front and relentlessly pursuing the terrorists, fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies as well as killing of innocent civilians.

Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area, as the relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision 'Azm-e-Istehkam' (as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further reinforce our unwavering commitment of safeguarding our nation at all costs.

Separately, security forces killed three militants during a search and sanitisation operation in the Kambila and Asimabad areas in Balochistan. The operation resulted in the clearance of an area spanning 68 square kilometres, the sources said.

Four other militants were injured, including militant commander Shaukat Mama, the sources said. Security forces also detained 12 suspected individuals during the operation.

According to security sources, militant hideouts were dismantled during the operation and flags associated with Fitna al-Hindustan were removed from the cleared areas.

Security forces said Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 would continue with full force until the complete elimination of terrorism.
