Islamabad: On 5 December 2025, nine terrorists belonging to Indian Proxy were killed in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.
According to the statement issued by the ISPR, on reported presence of terrorists, an intelligence based operation was conducted by the Security Forces in Tank District. During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorist location and after an intense fire exchange, seven terrorists were killed.
Another intelligence based operation was conducted in Lakki Marwat District. In ensuing fire exchange, two more terrorists were effectively neutralised by the security forces.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed Indian sponsored terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the Security Forces, Law Enforcement agencies and target killing of innocent civilians.
Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area as relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision ‘Azm e Istehkam’ (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
Meanwhile President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have lauded the security forces for carrying out successful operations against terrorists in Tank and Lakki Marwat districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In their statements, they praised the courage of the forces for thwarting the heinous designs of the Indian-sponsored terrorists.
The President said the resolve of the nation and the forces will remain intact until the end of this “Fitnah”.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said security forces are achieving great successes against terrorism under the vision of “Azm e Istehkam”. He said the entire nation stands with the armed forces in the war against terrorism.
The Prime Minister expressed the government’s firm resolve to eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country.
Meanwhile Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has commended the security forces for conducting two successful operations against India-sponsored terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Interior Minister lauded the professional competence of the security forces for killing nine militants.
½Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the security forces, through timely and effective action, eliminated the terrorists. He paid tribute to the security forces for foiling the nefarious designs of the terrorists and stated that their courage and professionalism are a source of pride.
½Mohsin Naqvi added that the security forces continue to achieve major successes against the menace of the terrorism. Security forces remain fully committed to ensuring lasting peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
