Rawalpindi/islamabad: Seven terrorists were killed in two separate operations in Balochistan.
According to the ISPR, an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted in Machh area, Kachhi District on reported presence of terrorists.
During the conduct of operation, the troops effectively engaged the terrorists' location, and after an intense fire exchange, five terrorists were killed.
In another intelligence-based operation conducted in Margand area of Kalat District, a terrorist hideout was busted and two terrorists were successfully neutralized.
Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities.
Meanwhile President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have applauded security forces on successful operation against terrorists in Mach and Morgand, Balochistan.
In a statement, President Asif Ali Zardari said India is spreading terrorism in Pakistan through its proxies. He said security forces are conducting operations to eliminate terrorists. He said our resolve to eliminate terrorist elements and defend the country will remain unwavering.
In his statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said we will continue the war against terrorism until this scourge is completely eradicated from the country. He said the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the Armed Forces to foil the nefarious designs of terrorists.
Meanwhile Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has paid tribute to the Security Forces for their successful operations against the terrorists in Balochistan.
Commending the professionalism of the security forces, Mohsin Naqvi stated that the forces achieved a major success by killing seven terrorists.
Mohsin Naqvi said these terrorists, backed by foreign elements, were involved in the unrest in Balochistan. He emphasized that complete elimination of terrorists will be ensured and every possible step will be taken to restore peace in Balochistan.
Meanwhile Mohsin Naqvi has praised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police for repelling a terrorist attack by militants on the Miryan Police Station in Bannu. He stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police bravely confronted the terrorists and successfully foiled the attack. "I pay tribute to the police team for thwarting the attack," he said.
Mohsin Naqvi appreciated that the courageous personnel of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have previously also repelled such attacks with great valor. He noted that the police gave a strong and professional response to the terrorist aggression, successfully defeating their malicious intentions. He further stated, "I congratulate the entire police team for crushing the nefarious plans of the terrorists. We are proud of the brave and professional personnel of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police."
