Islamabad: Government has fixed September 01, 2025 final deadline for Afghan Refugees holding Proof of Registration (PoR) to leave the country. As per government decision only 26 days are left for deportation of Afghan citizens holding PoR cards. Government has announced that foreign nationals residing in Pakistan illegally and Afghan nationals holding cards will have to return to their home.

It has been made clear in this regard that no ill-treatment will be meted out to any one during the process of deportation. Arrangements for providing food and health facilities for them have been made.

This decision is aimed at addressing the problem of illegal immigrants. The authorities have appealed to the respective persons to finalize their arrangements to leave Pakistan and return to their homeland within stipulated period to avoid any untoward situation.
